If something on solve.science infringes your copyright, here is how to give us proper notice — and how a counter-notice works.

Our policy

Solvé Sciences, LLC respects the intellectual-property rights of others and expects users of solve.science to do the same. If you believe content on our site infringes your copyright, you may submit a notice under the Digital Millennium Copyright Act (DMCA), 17 U.S.C. § 512.

Filing a DMCA notice

Submit a written notice to our designated DMCA agent that includes all of the following:

  1. A physical or electronic signature of the owner (or person authorized to act on behalf of the owner) of an exclusive copyright that is allegedly infringed
  2. Identification of the copyrighted work claimed to have been infringed
  3. Identification of the material claimed to be infringing on solve.science, with enough information for us to locate it (URL, page, etc.)
  4. Your contact information — full legal name, address, telephone, and email
  5. A statement that you have a good-faith belief that use of the material is not authorized by the copyright owner, its agent, or the law
  6. A statement, under penalty of perjury, that the information in the notice is accurate and that you are the copyright owner or are authorized to act on the owner's behalf

Counter-notice

If material you posted was removed by mistake or misidentification, you may submit a counter-notice that includes:

  1. Your physical or electronic signature
  2. Identification of the material that was removed and the location where it appeared
  3. A statement, under penalty of perjury, that you have a good-faith belief the material was removed by mistake or misidentification
  4. Your name, address, telephone, and a statement that you consent to the jurisdiction of the federal district court for the judicial district in which your address is located (or the Western District of Texas if you are outside the U.S.) and that you will accept service from the original complainant

Repeat infringers

We will terminate the accounts of users determined to be repeat infringers in appropriate circumstances.

"Solvé," the Solvé wordmark, and the Solvé monogram are trademarks of Solvé Sciences, LLC. Other trademarks are the property of their respective owners.
